Wild Garlic is probably one of the most popular and versatile ingredients in the forager’s kitchen; It can be sauteed, blanched, steamed, fermented or eaten raw in various butters, pesto’s, and other amazing recipes!
We think our wild garlic doesn’t need much introduction and we are pretty certain you already have a recipe in mind.
Fun Fact: We are lucky here in Scotland, as we are amongst the first, and last, in the UK to be able to forage wild garlic (The season starts in February and finishes in June)
Sustainable Foraging
Did you know that 100% of the wild garlic we are foraging is foraged on lands where we have established a relationship with the landowner.
This strategy ticks many of our boxes, with among others…
1- A win-win situation for all involved;
2- Peace of mind and good working environment for our employees;
3- Forms the basis for accountability especially in relation to sustainable foraging.
We need to do better though and we are engaging with our supply chain who sometimes assist us in our wild garlic quests by demonstrating to them that it pays to have good working relationships with landowners!
We are always on the look out to develop new relationships so please get in touch with us if you happen to be one of the few who does not know what to do with all his/her/their wild garlic!!
