Agaricus Blazei is an edible mushroom. It was first discovered growing in the wild in Brazil in 1960 by Takatoshi Furomoto, a Japanese researcher. Takatoshi was so intrigued by its apparent health benefits that he sent samples back to Japan for investigations.


Since, Agaricus Blazei has become one of the most studied  mushrooms. Although animal and clinical studies have demonstrated the health benefits of the Agaricus Blazei for various conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol, anti-inflammatory bowel disorders and liver function, most of the current research now focuses on the its potential anti-cancer properties as well as its properties for reducing the toxic effects of conventional chemotherapeutic drugs.

Storage Information

Store in a resealable bag provided or an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.

Dry mushrooms can be stored for several years, however we recommend using them within 6 months from opening.
